What is DeposZip?
DeposZip is a secure service offered by Partners 1st Federal Credit Union. Using your scanner and computer or mobile phone, it allows you to scan, and electronically deposit, checks or loan payments to your Partners 1st account through 1st Online, our home banking online service.
This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s safe and secure within 1st Online and help screens and video tutorials are available. Funds are credited the same business day if submitted by the standard processing time and copies of checks are kept for 18 months for easy retrieval.

How do I make a deposit using DeposZip for Desktop (PC & Scanner)?
Once you have accepted our User Agreement and have been approved by us, you can start scanning your checks with these simple steps:
1. Log on to 1st Online and select the “DeposZip” button under Check Services
2. Select the account into which you wish to make a check deposit then click "Submit."
3. To endorse the check, include the following info on the back of the check(s):
- The words “For deposit only at Partners 1st - DeposZip”
- The Account Number you wish to deposit into and the S or L type (savings, checking or loan)
- Today’s Date
- Your Signature
4. Select your type of scanner (the first time you use the service you will be prompted to install a scanner control, you will only need to do this once)
5. Enter the total deposit amount of your check(s)
6. Scan the front and back of your check(s)
7. Review and submit your deposit

How do I make a deposit using DeposZip for Mobile?
1. Download the FREE, DeposZip app from the iPhone or Android Store
2. Log onto 1st Online (as usual), then click on DeposZip under the Accounts, Balances and History tab.
3. Using the drop down box, select the account into which you wish to make a check deposit.
4. Accept the user agreement and upon e-mail notification of acceptance, the program is ready to use.
5. Take an image of the front and back of the check and hit submit.
iPhones with iOS version 3.1.3 or greater and Android phones with Android 1.6 operating system or greater are supported.
What are the requirements to use DeposZip?
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a Partners 1st account open for a minimum of 90 days
- Must have a valid email address
- Must sign up for 1st Online and agree to e-statements
- Must have a risk score of 640 or higher
- Must not have any derogatory account notations
For businesses, you must:
- Be in business a minimum of 1 year OR primary business owner must have a risk score of 680+
- Must have a Partners 1st account open for a minimum of 6 months
- Must have a valid email address
- Must sign up for 1st Online and agree to e-statements
- Must not have any derogatory account notations
For any exception to the above requirements, please contact your nearest Partners 1st office.

What are the hardware and software specifications for DeposZip?
DeposZip for Desktop (PC & Scanner) Specifications
PC:
The following are the minimum currently supported environments:
- Windows 7, Windows XP with Internet Explorer 7+, or Vista with Internet Explorer 7+
- Windows 7, Windows XP or Vista with Firefox 2+
- Mac OS X 10.6 with Safari 3+
- Mac OS X 10.6 with Firefox 2+
*Safari on Mac OS X v10.6+ must be run in 32-bit mode
Scanner:
- TWAIN-compliant document scanner (To find out if your scanner is compliant, please refer to the documentation that was supplied with the scanner. For help with your scanner, log in to your 1st Online account and click on the “Make a Deposit” icon (DeposZip) on the top navigation bar. Then click on "Help with Scanners and Drivers" near the bottom of the screen.)
- You must install either an ActiveX control or Java application on your computer.
Note: The recommended version of the browsers listed above are Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3, and Safari 3.1.

DeposZip for Mobile Specifications
The DeposZip Mobile application works with a variety of supported smartphones and devices, utilizing the built-in camera for the capture of check images. The list of supported devices follows:
iPhone with iOS version 3.1.3 or greater
Android phones with Android 1.6 operating system or greater
To use mobile, you must download the free, "DeposZip Mobile" App by visiting the Android Market or iPhone Store.
Can I use any home scanner?
When making deposits with a scanner and your personal computer, DeposZip uses the TWAIN specification for communicating with scanners. Most scanner software supports the TWAIN specification, but not all. For the latest information for specific scanners, log in to 1st Online and our DeposZip service. Click "Help with Scanners and Drivers" near the bottom of the New Deposit screen or consult with your scanner manufacturer for information on their support for TWAIN on your device.

How do I sign up for DeposZip?
We make registering simple! To register:
- Log on to 1st Online and click on the "DeposZip" button under Check Services.
In all cases, you will need to read and accept the User Agreement and allow up to three (3) business days for your registration to be reviewed and approved. You will receive an email notification with the status of your registration request. Once you are approved, you can start scanning your checks!

What types of accounts can I scan deposits into?
Deposits can be made to your Partners 1st savings and checking, along with many loan accounts.

What types of checks can be scanned for deposit?
Acceptable checks:
- Single-party, domestic checks made payable to you. In addition, cashier’s checks, official checks, U.S. Treasury checks, or any other payment instrument drawn on a financial institution within the United States from a payor to you.
Unacceptable checks include:
- Savings Bonds
- Foreign checks
- Third party checks
- Photocopies of checks
- Checks written to you that are drawn on your Partners 1st account
- Items stamped "non-negotiable”
- Incomplete checks
- Stale-dated or post-dated checks (stale dated defined as being dated over 6 months)
- Checks that contain evidence of alteration to the information on the check
- Checks purported to be a lottery or prize winning
- Checks previously submitted for deposit
Are there any deposit limits?
Yes, default deposit limits are set as follows and are subject to review and change at any time.

Do I need to include a deposit slip with my scanned check deposit?
No. DeposZip generates an electronic record with each deposit.

How many checks can be included in one deposit? Can multiple deposits be submitted each day?
Up to 999 checks can be included in one deposit and multiple deposits can be submitted as long as the accumulated dollar amount of the deposit(s) does not exceed the daily deposit limit.

When will my deposit be credited to my account?
Deposits received before 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) will be credited to your account on the same business day. Deposits received after 3:00 pm EST will be credited to your account on the next business day. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Is the hold policy for checks different when they are scanned?
No. The check hold policy is the same as defined in the Funds Availability Disclosure.

What should I do with the check once it has been scanned?
You will receive an email notification when your deposit is accepted, or you can reference your monthly statement to monitor your deposits. Once you receive confirmation that your deposit has been accepted, write “SCANNED” on the front and securely store each original check(s) for a period of sixty (60) days. Once you acknowledge acceptance of the deposit and 60 days have passed, you can destroy the original check(s) by cross cut shredding or another secure method. Please note: you are solely responsible and liable for the security and storage of the original checks and take full responsibility for any loss or misappropriation of these checks.

How do I get a copy of my deposit?
If you click on the Deposit History Tab at the top right corner of the page, a listing of your scanned deposits will be displayed. If you click on the
icon, you can view the deposit details along with a copy of the items included in that deposit. If you click on the
icon, you can download a copy of the deposit and print it or save it to a file on your computer for your records.

How long is my deposit history available for viewing?
Deposit history is available for viewing online for 18 months. For deposit history older than 18 months, you can contact our Contact Center at 800.728.8943 or 260.471.8336.

How much time do I have to scan my deposits?
The DeposZip session will timeout after twenty minutes of inactivity. There is a Session timeout clock displayed on the top right corner of the screen. During the last five minutes of the session, the clock time will appear in red. Every time the page is changed, the clock refreshes. However, 1st Online also has a timeout feature after 20 minutes so you may need to refresh 1st Online also.

on each line of the process for a detailed explanation, helpful hints and a short video explanation of each process step.

What if I no longer want to use DeposZip?
If you want to no longer use DeposZip, please put your request in writing and send it to Partners 1st, 1330 Directors Row, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Requests may also be dropped off at any of our locations or faxed to 260.471.8643. All requests must be signed for verification purposes.
